Desirous to improve the welfare of Nigerian students who are on full Federal Government Scholarship in Morocco, the Nigerian government has expressed readiness to collaborate with it Moroccan counterpart in strengthening the Bilateral Education Scholarship ties between the two countries.
Minister of State, Education, Dr Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, stated this yesterday during a working visit to the Nigerian Embassy in Rabat, Morocco.
Dr. Nwajiuba also interacted with the representative of the Nigerian students community in Rabat on various issues, assuring the students of the federal government resolve to look into their demands within the parameter of the agreement between both nations, and to have the agreement reviewed to reflect present day realities.
The minister, who was received by the Nigerian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, Ambassador Al-Bashir Al-Hussaini, tasked the students to be good ambassadors of the country.
Speaking on behalf of the student community, its  President,  Mr. Dalhatu Tijjani Yusha’u, thanked the minister and officials of both the Federal Ministry of Education and the Nigerian Embassy for their efforts so far, stating that alot still needs to be done as regards the topics discussed, especially the students’ welfare.
Dr. Nwajiuba was accompanied by his wife, Dr Adaku Nwajiuba and officials from the Ministry, Special Assistant, SA, to minister on Projects, Engr Adewale Adenaike,  SA to the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, Mr. Madu Ahmadu and the Personal Assistant to the minister, Mr. Nnaemeka Ibeawuchi.
