Anambra State Youth Wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has expressed confidence in the ability of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide led by the new President General, Prof. George Obiozor, to transcend beyond politics, rhetoric and propaganda to lead Ndigbo to a greater future.
The youth wing in a statement made available to the media by their leader, Mazi Chukwuma Okpalaezeukwu, posited that with Obiozor on the saddle of the apex Igbo cultural organisation, a new dawn has thus come to the Igbo nation.
They expressed optimism that the way he unfolded the agenda of Ohanaeze for Ndigbo during his first world press conference after his election was a clear testimony that he was focused and capable of leading Ndigbo aright.
The statement reads thus: “Igbo youths in the seven Igbo speaking states and Diaspora have expressed great hope and confidence in the new leadership of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Worldwide led by Amb. Prof. George Obiozor.
“This is sequel to the trending, succinct and all encompassing world press conference addressed by the leadership in Enugu recently.
“Indeed, this is the dawn of a new era for Ndi Igbo worldwide, especially at this critical time, ranging from Security, Education, Economy, Unity of Purpose and other political and socio-cultural challenges facing Igbo development in Nigeria and the world at large.
“Ndi Igbo seek unity but not the unity of slaves and masters.  We seek peace but not  peace of the graveyard.  We seek justice because we know that throughout history, those denied justice have had no interest in peace.
“On this note, we the Igbo Youths hereby align ourselves in absolute solidarity and support to the leadership of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo led by Amb. Prof. George Obiozor.

“We have no doubt that the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation shall transcend partisan politics, rhetorics and propaganda.”
