A young lady, Titiye Augustine also know as Tinacious Golden on Facebook, who is allegedly involved in a child trafficking business
in Bayelsa State has been arrested by the Edo State Command of the Nigeria Police in Ekpoma.
According to sources, the lady who hails from Ogbia Local Government
would usually lure girls within the ages of 12 to 15 years to Benin where they are locked up in a room for men to have sex with them in exchange for cash.
Our source further explained that police were tipped off when one of her victims who had spent ten days in the den got access to the mobile phone of a man that had sex with her and called her mother who blew the whistle.
It was learnt that when Titiye got wind of the development she escaped back to a hideout in Yenagoa to avoid been arrested by the policemen who were on her trial for weeks.
The source said “when she discovered that police were in Bayelsa looking for her she escaped to Ekpoma. But unfortunately for her police were able to track her phone calls to a friend of hers in Yenagoa.
“It was at that point the police arrested her friend in Yenagoa who gave useful information to the police that led to her arrest in Ekpoma.”
Stressing further, it was learnt that before her arrest, Titiye had allegedly trafficked over 15 girls from Bayelsa State to Edo State in the last year.
