All Progressives Congress, APC, has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari remained committed to ongoing efforts to ensure the quick and safe release of the abducted schoolchildren in Government Secondary school Kagara Niger State.
Some gunmen had reportedly invaded  Government Secondary School Kalgara, Niger State in the early hours of Wednesday abducting two Teachers and unknown number of students.
But in a statement issued Wednesday by the National Secretary, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Sen. John Akpan Udoedehe, the APC said the president has deployed all necessary security apparatus in an operation coordinated by the service chiefs to ensure the rescue of the boys.
The party urged parents, loved ones and other stakeholders not to be distracted by the opposition PDP‘s insensitive statement as all hands are on deck to ensure the quick and safe release of the abductees.
The Government‘s resolve and the capacity of our security services to end these cowardly attacks on soft targets, particularly schools is not in doubt. We urge the continued support of all Nigerians to ensure this,” the party stated.
