The Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Throne Room Parish,  Transcorp Hilton Abuja, on Sunday storm streets of Abuja to pray for Nigeria, following the myriad of challenges currently confronting the country.
The maiden Global Prayer Walk focuses mainly on the growing spate of insecurity and the devastating global pandemic COVID-19, as well as economic prosperity for the nation.
Fielding questions from newsmen during the prayer walk in Abuja, the Pastor in charge of the RCCG the throne Room Parish, Maitama, and also the pastor in charge of Province 11 that comprises Abuja, Nasarawa, Kogi, Kwara, Niger and Benue states, Pastor Benjamin O. said that Nigeria needs divine intervention right now.
“It’s a mandate that God Almighty gave to us to pray everywhere. RCCG has a presence in over one hundred and ninety nations of the earth.
What we are doing here is being done everywhere.
“We walk around and pray on four cardinal points (our national security, personal breakthrough, revival and against Covid-19),” Pastor Benjamin noted.
While appreciating the clergy, parishioners and the press who participated in the maiden Global Prayer Walk in Abuja, the Pastor said, “Your presence and support would be highly appreciated as it will help to create the desired impact in the people”.
