Champions League’s winning coach, Thomas Tuchel has revealed that he only met Chelsea owner,  Roman Abramovich.

On Saturday for the first time and it was after the Champions League final match.

The two, according to Spanish outlet, Tribuna,  spoke to each other on the pitch after Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Man City in the Champions League final.

Tuchel added that he will promise the owner that he will stay hungry for more trophies. Tuchel spoke to UEFA’s website about meeting owner Roman Abramovich for the first time post-match: “I spoke to the owner on the pitch, it was the best moment for our first meeting – or maybe the worst because it can only get worse now!

“We will speak again and I can assure him I will stay hungry. I feel hungry, part of a really ambitious club and a strong group that supports my beliefs in football perfectly.”

The German has most definitely earned himself a contract after leading the club to Champions League  glory within 4 months of taking over.

While it’s unlikely that he and Roman spoke about his position, this could be the beginning of a fruitful partnership for the owner and the manager!
