Nigeria’s U20  National Team, the Flying Eagles have stepped up their training for next month’s U20 AFCON qualifiers in Togo and about  46 players  are sweeting it out for a place in the final 23-man squad that will do battle against Cote d’Ivoire.

Nigerian Pilot Sports that majority of the players are drawn from the  Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL,  based on their  form.

It was also gathered that  the  detailed fixtures schedule for the qualifiers in Togo has been made public and the technical crew are expected to be guided by the fixtures.

Coach Ladan Bosso led his assistants in training the U20s twice a day at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.

The Flying Eagles will open their qualifying campaign on November 19 against Cote d’Ivoire at Stade Municipal in Lome, Togo.

Their next Group B clash will be against arch-rivals Ghana on November 22.

Hosts Togo, Niger, Benin and Burkina Faso are in Group A.

The semifinals are slated for November 28 with the final and third-place matches to be played on December 1.
