Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has won his Kolokuma/Opokuma local government area for the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.

The collation officer for the local government, Prof Francis Oluleye, who announced the result in Yenagoa.

Atiku of PDP polled 8,972 votes to defeat his closest rival, Bola Ahmed Tinubu of APC, who polled 4 137 votes to come second, while Peter Obi of Labour Party, polled 3,395 to third and NNPP Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso polled 34 votes.
