Presidential poll: Obi wins Nasarawa with 191,361 votes

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, has scored the highest votes in the Saturday’s presidential election in Nasarawa State.

State INEC collation officer and Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof Ishaya Tanko, said Peter Obi of the Labour Party polled 191,361 votes while Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the APC scored 172,922 votes to come second.

The former Vice President, and candidate of the PDP Alhaji Atiku Abubakar came a distant third with 147, 093 votes, while the NNPP presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso got 12,715 votes.

The Collation Officer revealed that the total registered voters in the state were 2,552,716 while the total valid votes were 540,566.

He added that the total accredited voters in the state stood at 562,464 while the total votes cast were 556,937 and and that 16,371 votes were rejected.
