AHEAD Saturday guber polls, former presidential aspirant in the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Moses Ayom, has predicted massive defection of politicians from Labour Party, LP, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Social Democratic Party, SDP and New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP during mega rallies of the party in the three senatorial districts of Benue state.

The former presidential aspirant who spoke in a statement made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Tuesday, said the Benue North-West (Zone B) held yesterday while that of Benue North-East which he referred to as ‘mother of all rallies’ will hold in Katsina-Ala today, Wednesday, March 8,2023.

He said that the Katsina-Ala rally will be the grand finale of all the rallies in the zones, ahead of the governorship election that is expected to hold across the state this Saturday.

“You are all aware that … Monday, 6th March, 2023, the Gubernatorial Campaign Rally of the Benue State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, kicked off in Otukpo, Benue South Senatorial District (Zone C) of Benue State.

“The essence of this rally and others like it that will hold without fail by the grace of God is to ensure the emergence of our governorship candidate, Reverend Fr Hyacinth Iormem Alia as the Governor of Benue State on Saturday, 11th March, 2023,” Ayom said.

Chief Ayom who is an Outstanding Advocate of Nigeria-China Relationship, said that he will be the chairman of the rally to be held in Katsina-Ala.

He, therefore, urged members of the APC and lovers of development irrespective of their political leaning from zones A, B and C to attend the rally.

The APC chieftain also solicited the support of all and sundry to make zone A produce the highest number of votes to enable the party win the election this weekend.

I also wish to urge all lovers of Benue State, across political divides to come and grace this occasion, which will mark a watershed in the history of Benue State with the emergence of Reverend Fr Hyacinth Alia as Governor.

He used the occasion to salute the President-Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; the Vice President-Elect, Senator Kashim Shettima and Fr Hyacinth Alia, whom he described as Governor in waiting, the Minister for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Senator George Akume and the state Chairman of our party, Austin Agada for finding him worthy and for the confidence reposed in him to be the Chairman of the Katsina-Ala rally.
