New NDDC Boss is square peg in square hole, says Gen. Slaboh

The leader of the third phase of the Presidential Amnesty program (PAP), Gen. Elaye Slaboh has expressed confidence on the leadership of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) headed by Chief Samuel Ogbuku as MD says his sterling qualities is enviable, one that must not be allowed to sleep away from us.

Slaboh said in a press conference in Abuja organized by the group in solidarity to the newly appointed Managing Director of the all important Commission, the NDDC that Ogbuku’s appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is not accidental, but rather a fitting cap, given his antecedents and track records in both public and private spaces, adding that it takes light to attract light, and thanked the president for identifying the uncommon qualities in Ogbuku needed for this onerous job.
“We are very confident that he will justify his appointment, he has the wealth of experience to handle issues of development in the Niger delta region that will pragmatically steer the affairs of NDDC in line with Mr. President’s “Renewed Hope Agenda, and he is doing right now with relentless achievements”

Slaboh however called on all Niger-Deltans, stake-holders , Ex Agitators and all those who mean well for the region to join hands and support the entire management team of the NDDC, adding that divisive and criminal tendencies will never get us anywhere, we must learn from past mistakes in order to make the future better for all of us.
“We must sheathe our differences and support the entire management team of NDDC to emancipate our region from under-development, increase peace, stability as well as the collective prosperity of all in the Niger -Delta Region and Nigeria by extention.

While given the assurances of the ex-agitators not to relent in their efforts to maintain peace and harmony amongst us across the region, he said the group shall continue to lead by example as well as been committed to the values that binds us together as one which include collectivism and brotherhood.
