A group, Society for the Youth and the Downthroden, SOYD, has congratulated the winner of the just concluded Presidential election, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a press release issued yesterday by the President, SOYD, Comrade, Ogwuche Gabriel, read: “On behalf of the Board, Management and vulnerable members of the society that we represent, we hereby congratulate His Excellency, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the winner of the just concluded presidential election in Nigeria.
“While congratulating the president-elect, it is important to note that democracy is a very rigorous journey that required patience and time to get optimum result from the electoral processes.
“As a nation, we can’t wait to become perfect before we start because every venture starts with imperfection.”
Ogwuche stated, “Therefore, there is a need for synergy among Nigerians at this critical time to foster peace and unity despite our differences.”
“We hope that the government will provide easy accessibility to dividends of democracy for all Nigerians irrespectively,” he added.
