Gov. Bello sacks Agric Commissioner, 2 appointees

GOVERNOR Yahaya Bello of Kogi on Tuesday relieved the state Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr David Apeh and two other appointees of their appointments with immediate effect.

Dr (Mrs) Folashade Arike Ayoade, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) confirmed sack of the appointees in a statement in Lokoja on Tuesday.

Also sacked by the governor is Danladi Isah Yunusa, Special Adviser to the Governor on Emergency Management.

Hajia Maryam Salifu, Part-time Chairman, Kogi State Hotels and Tourism Board, according to the SSG, also got the boot.

Ayoade said that the Commissioner and the two appointees were sacked by Governor Bello for gross misconduct.

She however, did not give details of their alleged misconduct or offences.
