Board and Management of Society for the Youth and the Downthrodden, SOYD, has congratulated Senator George Akume on his new appointment as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF.
SOYD in a press release issued yesterday by the President, Comrade Ogwuche Gabriel, stated that the appointment was no doubt a recognition of his stewardship and services to humanity that focuses on people’s welfare and vulnerable families when he was a Governor of Benue State.
They said that indeed, the well-deserved appointment has renewed the hope and confidence in Democracy.
Adding that, “We are confident that his wealth of knowledge and compassion will help the present administration to deliver on electoral promise to Nigerians.”
Senator George Akume, was the immediate-past Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and Special Duties of the just concluded Buhari’s led administration was recently appointed by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
