Reps felicitates with Tinubu as he clocks 72

The House of Representatives felicitates the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR on the occasion of his 72nd Birthday Anniversary.

The Green Chamber joins President Tinubu’s family, loved ones and the entire nation in celebrating the milestone, as the leader of the largest black population on earth and the African region.

According to the Spokesman of the House Rep Akin Rotimi, the president remained one of Nigeria’s most notable political figures, and his impactful contributions in over three decades, through pro-democracy advocacy, legislative representation and the enthronement of progressive politics, remained a reference point in nation-building.

“Assuming the Office of President at a difficult time in our political history, the People’s House salutes ‘Asiwaju on this occasion, for his display of courage and forthrightness, as well as humility and empathy in policy decisions and overall leadership of the federation”

He noted that in the words of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, “while it is his desire, as a passionate leader, that his birthday celebrations should be low-key, it is also an attestation to his selfless leadership style, which we are all emulating.”

Abbas, who noted that the President gets better with age, urged Nigerians to pray for the present administration, and give him the maximum support to enable his Renewed ‘Hope Agenda’ come to fruition.

On his part, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, recalled how President Tinubu had invested in people and institutions irrespective of tribe or religion to better the lot of the citizenry.

“Now that the people of Nigeria have collectively entrusted in your care the Presidency and the fortunes of the country, your vision for a united country and a virile economy is gradually gaining ground,” Rt. Hon. Kalu added.
