As Muslims around the world conclude this year’s Ramadan fast and observe Eid-el-fitr celebration, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Kemi Nanna Nandap has extended hearty felicitations to all Muslim Officers and Men of the NIS, Nigerian citizens and, indeed, migrants who are resident in the country.

Nandap’s Eid message was conveyed in a press release issued by DCI Kenneth Udo, the Service Public Relations Officer.

While saluting His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubumi Tunji-Ojo, on the auspicious occasion, she also commended all adherents of Islam who, through shared commitment and dedication, took time out to fast and pray for the security and welfare of the Nigerian State.

She charged all Nigerians to continually promote godly virtues on a daily basis.

While expressing hope of a better Nigeria, the Immigration leadership assured the nation of the NIS’ renewed determination to make the nation’s borders safe and protected.

She affirmed that no space will be given to any criminally minded traveler across the windows, and affirmed that only properly documented and authorized migrants, who were capable of creating or adding value through legitimate engagements are allowed a space to reside in the country.

The Immigration boss also called for an enhanced synergy among Security Agencies saying that, “By working together, we can fortify the foundations of national defense, security and development.”
