Former Edo state Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu , yesterday, received a heroic welcome in his hometown as thousands of people in Edo North trooped out to welcome him.
Shaibu, who was received by a mammoth crowd including dancers and community masquerades, was forced to walk from the popular Jattu junction, Auchi down to Jattu – Uzairue Kingdom wavering and greeting people.
Philip Shaibu was few weeks ago impeached by the Edo State House of Assembly
The former Deputy Gov thanked the people of Edo North for the opportunity to serve and for their support for the past years of his service to the Edo people, assuring them of his continued loyalty and promised as always never to disappoint them.
He however sent a word of warning to leaders of Edo PDP to either summon the courage to do the needful or be prepared to face the wrath of Edo people on election day.
