Gov Ododo expresses deep shock over death of former Governor Idris’ son

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi has condoled the former Governor of the State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris over the demise of his son, Mohammed Idris, a former member the House of Representatives representing Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal Constituency.

In a condolence message signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Ismaila Isah, Governor Ododo described death of the late Federal Lawmaker as a tragic loss and expressed deep sympathy for the family of former Governor Ibrahim Idris.

According to Governor Ododo, the late Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Idris was an older brother in whom he had found a worthy compatriot.

He noted that their last meeting was in March, when Mohammed came in the company of stakeholders from Omala Local Government Area on a solidarity visit to him as the Governor of Kogi State.

The Governor said useful discussions on plans for the development of the state were made during the meeting.

He urged the family of Alhaji Ibrahim Idris to take solace in the fact that the late Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Idris lived a life filled with worthy accomplishments as a politician and a businessman.

Governor Ododo prayed to Allah to grant the former lawmaker eternal rest and for his family, the fortitude to bear the loss.

The late Mohammed was Born December 8, 1969 and represented Ankpa/Olamaboro/Omala Federal constituency from 2011 to 2015 before his death on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in Abuja at the age of 55.

In the same vein, the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello has expressed deep sorrow over the unexpected and tragic demise of the former House of Representatives Member, Hon. Mohammed Ibrahim Idris, who passed away on April 10th.

Bello fondly remembered the late Federal Lawmaker as a “Progressive politician and a proud ambassador of the state, who navigated the political landscape with fairness and integrity.”

In his condolence message to the family, former Governor Yahaya Bello extended his heartfelt condolences and words of solace to the grieving father, former Governor Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.
