Steel Development Minister hails Akume on 70th birthday, says he is a Statesman

Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu has felicitated with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, His Excellency, Senator George Akume on his 70th birthday.

Audu in a press release issued by the Ministry who spoke through his Special Assistant on Media, Lizzy Okoji lauded Akume’s leadership and dedication to nation-building, describing him as a true leader who is giving his all for the good and development of Nigeria.

He stated that Akume’s leadership strides can be seen in his service at the Executive and Legislative Arms of the government, where he left indelible marks.

“I congratulate the SGF, His Excellency, Senator George Akume CON on the occasion of his 70th birthday.

“Sir, Your life so far has been one of service to humanity and for the development of our nation, Nigeria. You are a Statesman who has displayed leadership time and time again.

“Your leadership skills and capacity have helped in the day-to-day running of the Nigerian government. Your daily sacrifices for the country are commendable.

“On behalf of my family, the entire staff and management of the Ministry of Steel Development, I wish you a very happy 70th birthday celebration, Your Excellency,” Audu said.

Audu joined the First Lady of the Nation, Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, the National Chairman of the Party, Sen. Abdullahi Ganduje CON, Governors of Benue, Ogun and Taraba States, other Cabinet Ministers, members of the National Assembly, and other distinguished Nigerians and well-wishers to celebrate the SGF in his country home in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State.
