Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has expressed hope that Nigeria would experience uplift in all facets of the economy by the end of the fasting period.

Adegbite has said that God would deliver Nigeria from all its challenges, stating that the nation was in the season of unending grace.

The NCPC boss disclosed this while receiving in audience the Coordinator and executives of the Inter-denominational Christian Fellowship, office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation,OSGF, who paid him a courtesy visit at NCPC corporate headquarters, Abuja.

He said, ” It is not a coincidence that while the Christians are observing their lent, the Muslims have also commenced their Ramadan fast. The season is a period for penitence, sober reflection, humility, sacrifice and love for one another.”

Adegbite used the opportunity to thank Mr. President and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation for finding him worthy and deserving of his appointment.

While appreciating the Coordinator and the Executives of the Inter-denominational Christian Fellowship for the good work they have been doing by propagating the gospel of God at OSGF, the ES said it is their type of fellowship that should exist in all ministries and agencies.

“It is a new dawn in NCPC and there must be a change in attitude, a change in operation and in all ramifications,” he said.

He, however, pledged to identify and work with OSGF. “We are part of OSGF, I will be part of your programmes”, he said.

Earlier, the Coordinator of the Inter-denominational Christian Fellowship, OSGF, and Evangelist Ezeakachi Umunnah congratulated the Executive Secretary for his well-deserved appointment and commended Mr. President for considering him for the exalted position.

Umunnah briefed ES about the activities of the Chapel in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

He said the chapel has given them the opportunity to raise vessels unto the Lord.

The Coordinator intimated that the chapel is used as a platform to pray for all the leaders in authority as demanded by God.

He, therefore, solicited for support from the Commission in whatever form.
