Muslim Ummah in Bauchi State has been called upon to re-strengthen their relationship with one another and imbibe the spirit of love and forgiveness to attract Allah’s blessings.

Governor Bala Mohammad made the call yesterday immediately after observing this year’s Eid Eil Fitr Sallah celebration that was observed peacefully in the state.

He explained that living with one another in peace will bring rapid development in the state, assuring that the state government will continue to play its own part in protecting the lives and properties of its citizens.

Governor Bala assured that the palliative distribution exercise would be extended beyond the holy month of Ramadan in view of the growing economic hardship being faced by the citizens.

Bala Mohammed said the worsening economic situation required a collective effort among governments at all levels as well as corporate organizations towards overcoming the situation.

He described the recent disbursement of N10, 000 as Sallah gift to both state and local government civil servants as an unprecedented move by his administration to address the economic hardship and urged them to reciprocate the gesture by improving their productivity.

Gov Bala observed the two Raka’at prayers with thousands of worshipers including the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Development, Professor Ali Pate, Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaimanu Adamu and top government functionaries that were led by the Chief Imam of Bauchi, Imam Bala Baban Innah.
