The disagreement between the present Governor of Rivers State Sir Similaiye Joseph Fubara and his political god father and current Minister of Federal Capital Territory FCT Chief Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, which led to the former’s breakaway, has been described as answered prayer of the people of Rivers State.

A-two- term member of the Federal House of Representatives FHR and 2023 APC governorship, Dr Sokonte Davies made the revelation in an interview with Nigerian Pilot, in Port Harcourt.

“I know, it was not my own prayer that God answered, because, I didn’t want him to be the Governor, but God has answered the prayers of Rivers people. The Governor’s eyes have opened, he has come to realize that, God has given him the opportunity to write his name in the annals of the history of Rivers State.

I warned people to fear God, and if they never did, should now begin the do so, because of this misunderstanding between the Governor and ex-governor Wike.

The Governor realized , he is here by the leave of Rives people, authenticated by the court, and has to serve Rivers people. He has also chosen to have a good chapter written of him, for believing that government property must be for government people, “he said.

“Wike made all Rivers investments to be moribund, but on the emergence Governor Sim, he felt those projects cannot be moribun. We have a teaming population of men and women, and these are opportunities, if put to proper use can create employment opportunities to absorb then men and women.

The 2023 governorship aspirant explained, that action alone, will reduce the security challenges in the state, because there are a lot of idle hands. And it said that idle hand is the workshop of the devil. He is reviving the Shanghai farm project, the monorail, Primary Healthcare, etc

“Wike wanted a man like Ex governor Peter Odili, who had ruled the state more than any other person, to support him fight a serving governor, desiring to do some beneficial projects for his people.

Such an elder statesman he called ‘one man’. For goodness sake, I can’t call Sir Odili one man, even if I don’t like him. I can’t call a retired Supreme Court Justice, one woman, even if I don’t like her.

Those are the people he publicly attested to, that, without God and them, he won’t be where he is, but now, he denies them, no problem, that’s his style. Up till now Nigerians and Rivers State in particular are yet to know the party Wike belongs to.

The disagreement between the two, is that of governance and not of politics. That’s why the majority of the state are supporting the Governor (him)” Dr Davies, observed. .

The former Director, Operations, Nigerian Ports Authority NPA vouched, the ex-governor Wike worked hard to incapacitate the organs legislature and judiciary that could chechmate him, regretting to say that, the judiciary was in his pocket, while he was the Governor.

“That was the reason the likes of Chief Uche Secondus, Celestine Omehia, Austin Opara, Abiye Sekibo, etc had disagreement with him. All the above mentioned were close to him, until he wanted to be the President, and they looked at him and concluded, he is not a presidential material.”

Recall that Governor Fubara has declared that the Presidential Peace Pact is not the nation’s constitution.
