The management of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company PLC,EEDC, has stated that the total system collapse in the entire South Eastern region would create loss of power supply.

The Head, Corporate Communications of the Company, Emeka Eze disclosed this in a statement he signed and made available to Journalists in Awka, Anambra state, yesterday.

The statement read that, ” The system collapsed on Monday morning by 2:41am in Anambra state and other parts of Eastern states due to loss of supply of energy to all our interface TCN stations.”

According to him, due to no supply, EEDC was unable to provide service to her customers in Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States.

However, he said the situation was gradually being resolved as it received supply at Awada TCN station, Onitsha, at 7:30am.

“We are in constant communication with the relevant authorities awaiting full restoration of supply by the National Control Centre, NCC, Oshogbo.

Thank you for your usual understanding and cooperation,” he stated.
