Lado campaign in Katsina terrorists’ enclaves, promises to boost overall development

THE Katsina State gubernatorial candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senator Yakubu Lado Danmarke has reiterated that his government, if elected, will tackle the challenges preventing the State and its people from optimizing their capacities for development and growth.

Lado, who spoke Thursday at the climax of the PDP campaign rally tour for Funtua zone where he also hails from, comprises 12 local Government areas of the State.

He reassured that PDP administration having served the country for 16 years, will again undertake programmes and initiate policies and projects to deliver good governance and better democratic dividends.

Senator Lado Danmarke expressed appreciation to the party and stakeholders for the trust and confidence reposed in him right from the period he served dutifully as councillor, Kankara Local Government Council Chairman, member of the House of Representatives and in the Senate.

Lado said the blueprint of his government, if given the opportunity, would focus on especially youths, women empowerment, socio-economic welfare, agriculture, education, fighting insecurity among others.

According to the Katsina State PDP governorship candidate,, the hardship in the country should be an eye opener as well as a guide to people to vote in government that will meet their yearnings and aspirations.

He promised to shoulder the payment of NECO and WAEC fees for students in the State as part of efforts to ensure education for all and to also alleviate the sufferings being faced by parents and wards.

The PDP governorship candidate further assured that adequate fertilizer and other mechanise farming inputs that had gone out of the reach of the masses will be available and on time to farmers to boost their production.

Chairman of the Katsina PDP Presidential and Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Senator Ibrahim Umar Tsauri, noted that the party gave Lado its governorship ticket based on firm conviction that he possess the quality to better the lots of the people of the State.

Tsauri, the immediate past National Secretary of the PDP, also appealed to the electorate to vote for all the candidates of the party because the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) has failed to deliver in its promises.

Also, the Director General of the Katsina PDP Campaign Council, Dr. Mustapha Inuwa, described the gale of defection that has hit the ruling APC, NNPP across the State as an evidence of the general dissatisfaction with the ruling APC led government and imminent victory of PDP in the February and March polls.
