On February 20, 2023, a number of media platforms reported that
“the entire members of Tinubu Foundation and Nuhu Ribadu Support Group in Adamawa State collapsed structures and joined the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

“This development which was coming barely days to the commencement of Nigeria’s general elections will no doubt boost the chances of the PDP in the state and Nigeria.

“Leaders of the groups who led hundreds of their members to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri in the Government House, Yola announced their defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“According State Coordinator of Tinubu Foundation 2023, Suleiman Yarima, the move was necessary owing to the giant strides of the Fintiri administration across the nooks and crannies of Adamawa.

“He said some of their members were among those who formed the list of the APC Presidential Campaign Council in the state and vowed to deliver the votes of supporters of Bola Tinubu to the PDP.”

However, the acting State Coordinator of Tinubu Foundation, Dansabo Sa’ad Halilu, has vehemently denied the claim, stressing that “the foundation is intact.

“Yes, one person has left us, that I can confirm; he is Suleiman Yerima, the former state Coordinator.

“Make no mistake, he left the APC alone to join his boss and former governor of the state, Bindo Jibrilla who recently defected to support Atiku.

“For us in the foundation, we’re on ground to mobilize support for our principal, the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.”
