The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria ( JUSUN), Nassarawa State branch has challenged one Barrister Maxwell, a lawyer who alleged in a video that has gone viral, that a Magistrate from the state Judiciary has been defrauding unsuspected Nigerians.

Chairman of JUSUN in the state, Comrade Jimoh Musa Alonge while reacting to the video said as much as the union supports the flushing out of bad eggs from the system, it however, frowns at blanket statement by the lawyer.

He said Barrister Maxwell claimed a Magistrate issued an order but failed to disclose the name and the court of the said Magistrate.

“The attention of the Nasarawa State Branch of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has been drowned to a viral video by one Barrister Maxwell making round that a certain Magistrate from Masaka in Nasarawa State has been conniving with the Nigerian police to defraud unsuspected Nigerians.

“While the union does not want to join issue with Barrister Maxwell on his allegations, but because of the blanket statement he made while covering the said Magistrate.

” We wish to state that as a union , we know the character of the Chief Judge of Nasarawa State, Justice Aisha Aliyu. She does not condole any form of dishonesty. We appeal to the lawyer to mention the name of the Magistrate that issued such order so that such an individual can be brought to book. Saying one Magistrate in Masaka is blanket statement because we have about 3 magistrate courts in Masaka alone”.
