A foremost governorship aspirant in Ondo state, Chief Olusola Oke (SAN) has pledged to re-engineer agriculture in the state and deploy it to solve unemployment and poverty problems if he can get the party ticket and eventually be elected in the November 16 gubernatorial election

He disclosed this during his visit to Okitipupa and Ondo East Local governments in continuation of his visit to the 18 local government areas of Ondo State ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship nomination exercise.

In Okitipupa Local Government Area, Oke met with the APC unit, ward and local government leaders as well as members from all the 13 wards at the Idepe-Okitipupa town hall.

The party chairman in the local government area, Mr. Bode Ikulala, said Oke is their own and he deserves to be honoured with their votes.

“Oke has always been part of us. He resides with us and we will give him our votes to achieve the common goal,” Ikulala said.

While responding, Oke urged all the executive members of the party never to be deceived by politicians who were not around them years back but now throwing up money to buy their conscience.

He remarked: “I appreciate you all for the gesture and love. Be guided and never be deceived by politicians who were not with you during your suffering in the past, but now coming to buy your votes.”

Also, at Ondo East Local Government Area, Oke met with the jubilated APC leaders and members at the Civic Centre, Bolounduro headquarters of the council.

The party leaders and members pledged their support for Oke in the forthcoming shadow poll, assuring him of victory at the end of the day.

Some of the party leaders at the town hall meeting who spoke with journalist said they are now determined to follow Oke unlike before when no decision was taken in that regard.
