CAN, Pilgrim’s Board partner to sensitize Christians on holy pilgrimage

Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Niger state has expressed readiness to partner with the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Department in the state to sensitize Christians on the need to participate in the spiritual exercise of Holy Pilgrimage.

In a statement signed by Dan Atori, the media aide to the state CAN chairman, Bishop Bulus Yohanna, said during the weekend when the Department paid him a courtesy visit at the state CAN Secretariat in Minna that, there is the need for Christians to plan and save funds early enough so as to ease the financial burden.

According to him “there is the urgent need to orientate Christians. We will love to partner with the Department to organize a workshop where people will be opportuned to understand and have better knowledge of the benefits of visiting the Holy land.”

“We will love to visit various Churches through the various Blocs of CAN to see how we can educate Christians on the need to increase Christian participation in pilgrimage. We also need to encourage those who can sponsor members to the Holy land”, he said.

Earlier, the Director of the Christian Department, Mrs. Joanna Pada told the Chairman that, Niger State pilgrims will be participating in November/December pilgrimage later in the year and there is the urgent need for Christians to start preparing, adding that, the more participants the better for the body of Christ.
