Insecurity: IGP discussing with NCC on activation of Police short code 933

Not relenting on its effort at reducing security challenges in the Country, Inspector General of Police IGP, Usman Alkali Baba is is currently discussing with the Nigerian Communication Commission NCC, on how overcome the present situation by putting measures in place to have and activate the Police short code, 933

Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, disclosed this Thursday, that the short code 933 will soon be rolled out to ease communication and sharing of information.

“We are sure this drive will definitely boost our operations and service delivery. So we admonish Nigerians to be patient and believe in our system, as the system still works. ”

We will surely overcome this present condition and stand tall to celebrate in Nigeria. Nigeria is our common heritage that must be guided and protected.

Recall that last Friday gunmen attacked some officials of the 7 Guards Battalion of the Nigerian Army Presidential Guards Brigade around the Bwari Area Council of Abuja, left three soldiers wounded and eight personnel killed.

Two of the slain personnel were officers, including a captain and lieutenant, while the remaining were soldiers.

According to a source within the army, the main aim of the terrorists is to attack the Nigerian Law School in Bwari and they may have already camped in the area.
