Do not depend on Bayelsa govt tokens – Ohaneze President

The new executives of Ebonyi State Community Bayelsa Chapter has been urged to run an all-inclusive government, and should not depend on the government tokens which are distractions.

Mazi Onuma Johnson, President Ohaneze Ndigbo Bayelsa, gave the charge at the inauguration of Ebonyi state executives in Bayelsa at De Glory hotel, Okaka, Yenagoa.
The inauguration has Comrade Nwafor Collins as State chairman, Okalibe Samuel Maxwell as Vice chairman, Engr. Nwangwu Uchechukwu, and Gen. Secretary, Mbam Onyekachi Paul..

Others are Assistant Secretary Comrade Dr. Nwuna Charles, Financial secretary, Mbam Ejike Gospel, Treasurer, Nte Solomon, and Public Relations officer Mbam Moses Provost.

Mazi Onuma said, “It is a task for the newly executives to see that the bring everybody together to the next level. We are glad that the community is doing well, but we expect them to do more

“As you have volunteered yourselves to lead the people of Ebonyi community, run an all inclusive government, we believe in facts and figures. As you gather the data, it will please me to let you know that, you are not only working for people in Yenagoa, but all the local government in Bayelsa. Which comprises, Nembe, Ogbia, Ekeremor, Brass, Sagbama, Koluokuma/Opukuma, Southern Ijaw, and Yenagoa local government area.

“It will please me, if Ebonyi state is the first to provide data base from all the eight local government in Bayelsa. Let it be your first task. Launch into the deep, go to the oceans, to get facts and figures. Work with all the Chairman in all across the state, to achieve this feat.

“It will please me if you work to make this community stand out. Let Ebonyi community prosper, we don’t need the government to work well, because some of the tokens given are distractions. If you get all the Ebonyi people in Bayelsa, and they pay their dues, even if it’s one hundred naira, the community will be able to buy land and build house in Bayelsa.”

The new Chairman, Comrade Nwafor Collins promised to unite Ebonyi community and racquire a property before tenure elapses.

Comrade Collins said, “my plan and strategy is to see how I can move my community in Bayelsa forward.
In doing that, I have to unite all the local government for us to be a working force, to move our destiny forward in Bayelsa state

“By now as a state, every other state have gotten a place where they call their own in Bayelsa. It is my mind that, before I leave office, that we are going to celebrate, at least even if its not huge, we have a land to call our own Ebonyi state community land in the state.”

The new President who appreciated the state president, also promised to unite the Ebonyians, and run an all inclusive government.

The Eleco Chairman, Mr. James Uguru who doubles as a former Chairman urged the newly executives to work together to unite all Ebonyians in the state.
