Federal High Court, Abuja, has affirmed Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, immediate past Minister of State Mines and Steel Development, the Abia State All Progressive Congress, APC, Governorship Candidate for the February 2023 General Elections.

The declaration was made by Justice Binta Nyako in his Judgment on a suit filed by Dr. Ogah, challenging the substitution of his name with that of Mr Ikechi Emenike by the Abia Chapter of the Party on Friday, November 11th 2022 in Abuja.

Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, former Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, had won the Direct Primary Elections held on the 26th of May 2022, monitored by officials of INEC, with a report to that effect made available by the nation’s electoral umpire, after he scored 141,952 votes to beat his closest rival Paul Okonne, who scored 27,054 votes.

However, on the same day, a faction of Abia Chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC,
led by Kingsley Ononogbu held a parallel gubernatorial primary at a different location in Umuahia that purportedly choose Ikechi Emenike as candidate for the forthcoming main 2023 elections.

Ogah’s affirmation as the APC Governorship flag bearer in the forthcoming general elections, gives massive hope to the political process of the country and it is a big victory for APC nationwide.

Uchechukwu Ogah, President of Master Energy, who has established multiple investments in Abia State that’s worth hundreds of billions is the type of person Abians look to, beyond party affiliation and encourage for leadership.
