Bauchi police strategies for Easter celebration

The Commissioner of Police, Bauchi State Command, CP Auwal Musa Mohammed has revealed plans by his Command towards ensuring peaceful celebrations ahead of the Easter period in the State.

An Easter message issued by the Command Public Relations Officer, SP Ahmed Wakili explained that the Command in a bid to guarantee a peaceful and incident-free Easter celebration, the CP has directed Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and tactical Commanders to intensify visibility patrols and secure highways across the State.

He said the Command has deployed sufficient operational resources and employed various intelligence strategies to preempt any potential threats to public safety during the festive period.

The CP urged citizens to remain vigilant and celebrate responsibly within the bounds of the law, urging Parents and guardians to counsel their children against engaging in any behaviour that could disrupt the peace of the State.

While felicitating with members of the public especially Christians, the Commissioner of Police called on religious leaders, worshipers and residents of the State to cooperate with the Police and other security agencies, as adequate and comprehensive security arrangements have been put in place to guarantee a hitch-free celebration.

CP Musa urged citizens to promptly report any suspicious activities to the nearest Police Station for swift action.
