Police detectives in Benin City Edo State on Thursday uncovered hideouts for illicit drug users In Benin City Edo State.
Although no arrest was made as the suspects fled the scene the Police invaded the hideout around Old Edo College road
It was gathered that the hideout harbours hundreds of teenage girls.
Investigation revealed that the various den of drug dealers within Benin City Metropolis are located around Old Edo College road Off Ore- Oghene, Akpakpava, Mission road and Iyaro where these users especially the females are seen naked taking the drugs for between 2,000 and 3,000 for a wrap
SP Chidi Nwanbuzor, the Police Spokesman in Edo State who spoke to Journalists on the incident, disclosed that the police were still working on different strategies to ensure that the users are arrested irrespective of their backings.
He also added that the police will do everything possible to ensure those responsible for the illicit drug activities are brought to book.
