Former Vice President of Nigeria and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has extolled the virtues and great deeds of Chief (Dr) Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu as an iconic multi-tasking statesman and a patriotic pillar for national unity.

The Wazirin Adamawa paid tribute to Iwuanyanwu in a statement at the weekend on his conferment with the Sun Newspaper’s ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’.

According to Atiku, Chief Iwuanyanwu is deserving of the award on the strength of his contributions in business, politics, philanthropy and other human endeavours.

“Chief Iwuanyanwu is a man who has paid his dues with a kind heart and added real value to humanity. He’s a detribalised political giant, who bears no grudges, and a patriotic citizen who values the tenets of unity in diversity. He loves Nigeria.

“Chief stands for equity and fairness, shared understanding for mutual benefits and national development,” Atiku said, in honour of the Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Elders’ Council and founder of the Champion Newspapers and other business conglomerates.

He added that “Chief Iwuanyanwu is a pathfinder in many areas of life. He is resolute and resilient, yet considerate and compassionate”.

The PDP presidential hopeful admonished younger generations of Nigerian industrialists cum entrepreneurs and politicians to emulate the open-mindedness and selflessness of the Imo State-born elder statesman, who seamlessly combined personal achievements with stewardship to his country.
