The Katsina State candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr. Umar Dikko Radda has won the yesterday’s governorship election.
According to the State governorship election collation officer and the Vice Chancellor, Federal University, Gusau, Zamfara State, Prof Mua’zu Gusau, Dr. Umar Dikko Radda polled 859892 number of votes to defeats his closet rival, Sen. Yakubu Lado Danmarke of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP who scored 486620.
Prof Mua’zu gave the total registered voters for Katsina State as 3316719, accredited voters, 1399291, votes casts, 138647, valid votes are 1365848 as invalid votes stands at 20579.
Katsina State is the home State of President Muhammadu Buhari as the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC won its governorship election while the collation of results of the State Assembly elections is on going.
